Community Build Weekends
Started
Throughout the year, the Foundation runs a series of community build weekends where volunteers get together and share skills to design, build and decorate visual elements used for the annual ALSO Festival. The programme attracts a wide range of participants from school-leavers to retirees all of whom benefit working alongside a professional team of designers and artisans.
Skills include:
- Construction (measuring, cutting & use of power tools)
- Decoration (painting, drawing)
- Sign-writing
- Fabrics (costumes, drapes and decorative elements)
- Audio (speaker construction)
